
Maria Maldonado-Bashaw counsels individuals and families on all aspects of estate planing, probate, trust administration, business planning, corporate formation and compliance, and contracts.
Ms. Bashaw has practiced law in and around Orange County since obtaining her California law license in 1994. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Western State University and her undergraduate degree from University of California, Irvine. Her areas of practice include estate planning, probate, trust administration, and corporate law.
Ms. Bashaw has partnered with English, Spanish, and French speaking clients to provide them with counsel, advocacy, and strategies related to their corporate needs, including formation, compliance, management, and contract drafting and negotiations; and guiding and supporting clients with their estate planning, including having prepared 100s of revocable trusts. In addition, she advises clients on protecting their assets, and business succession plans.
Ms. Bashaw is active in the legal and charitable communities as a Board Member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Trust & Estates Section and the Orange County Women Lawyers Foundation; an active member of the Orange County Women Lawyers Association; a Director of SEEDS Arts and Education, Inc.; an active member of the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association; and an active contributor to the Veterans Legal Institute where she creates estate plans for local Veterans pro bono.
Her clients are couples wanting to plan for their young children as well as established families wanting to ensure that their affairs are in order, and to ensure that their adult children can take over their established business or avoid estate taxes.

Maria has been an estate planner and corporate attorney since 1994 when she started her legal career in private practice. She went on to serve as in-house counsel at a public corporation focusing on corporate compliance and contracts. Shortly thereafter, she established her practice in Irvine. California. As a business owner, Maria understands what you need to establish and operate your business.
Maria received her Juris Doctor degree from Western State University in 1994. During law school, she studied Mexican law in Mexico City, which complements her expertise in corporate law. As a probate attorney, she focuses on estate planning and speaks fluently in Spanish and French.

Maria lives in Orange County and loves spending time with her family and pets (Toby and Harvey in the photo), baking, reading, and continuing her education in teaching Spanish and French, all while exploring topics like corporate law, estate planning, and the role of a probate attorney.
